They've really had some excellent episodes over the years. Their episodes taking on hybrid drivers and scientology have to be some of my favourites.

I don't really like the latest episodes, like the one with Tesla and Uber. They lost their magic a bit. It looks like they are trying too hard now.

the last 3 or 4 seasons havent been hitting it out for me. Ive watched everything before that. Like the mountain dew one was my breaking point with south park

I think the latest season has actually brought back a bit of their previous form compared to the last couple years. The handicar episode was a weak point but I still found it more watchable than most of what family guy and the like are putting out now.

The Scientology one was so good it caused Penn & Teller to cancel their planned Bullshit episode on the same subject, because they figured South Park already covered everything.

The one thing they got wrong is that Scientologists teach that Xenu and the aliens actually looked exactly like humans and dressed and acted exactly like Americans in the 1940s and 50s, but I guess the science fiction-y alien monster worked better for TV.

Scientology really is a hilarious sci fi construct/ genius business plan to extract money from people.

The south park episode actually got me reading about scientology and got me to watch the excellent bbc documentaries on it. I'm usually very accepting of religion but scientology is pretty harmful bullshit.

I only enjoyed the episode where they started a company. The only thing I liked about the handicar episode was the handi-cap.

Yeah I like the redskins one too. The freemium games and drone episodes were pretty good as well I thought.

A lot of it also smacks of total laziness on L Ron Hubbard's part. I mean, he came up with it in 1950s, so let's just say that alien society looked exactly like American society in the '50s and their spaceships looked like '50s American airliners. No imagination/creativity required.

I'm kinda impressed that with some shitty unimaginative sci fi writing theyve managed to become a fairly powerful international and rich business. Thats also pretty scary though...

The sad part is that there is no compassion for the Thetans. Scientology is about auditing them away at great cost while the poor souls are left in purgatory.
